We’re all in this together.

Nobody knows how to handle a pandemic. We’re all figuring this out together.  As a citizen of the world, I want to do my part to “flatten the curve.” As a counselor, I want to honor that things are really hard right now and the world needs extra emotional and psychological support.  With that in mind, these are the steps I’m taking to protect and support our community and my wonderful clients:

  • Teletherapy:  Starting immediately, I’m providing teletherapy instead of face-to-face counseling through Doxy.me. I’m incredibly grateful that amazing, HIPAA-compliant teletherapy options are readily available to us, and research shows us that there is no difference in effectiveness.

  • Teletherapy/Email Package: If COVID-19 has made paying for counseling difficult, I’m offering a discounted package to support you. For $80/month, you get a 30 minute video session and 3 email exchanges (1 per week). For more information, or to discuss whether this option is right for you, contact me.

  • Support Group: As a service to humanity, I’m offering a free (or small donation) support group through the Zoom app to give you (or anyone you know who is struggling and doesn’t have access to counseling) a safe space to talk about all the uncertainty in our world and how to cope with it.  The support group will meet virtually every Wednesday from noon-1:00pm. Reach out via my contact page to sign up.

  • Coping Strategies: If you need some ideas about how to cope, I wrote a blog post.
